In 2019, the Cervélo Áspero ushered in a new era in gravel riding, combining speed and efficiency. This 2026 version retains that performance-oriented DNA while benefiting from several significant improvements. More aerodynamic and comfortable, it features a T47 threaded bottom bracket, a universal UDH derailleur hanger compatible with recent SRAM drivetrains, and even more streamlined cable routing. With its lowered seatstays, it gains in flexibility and comfort over long distances, while maintaining responsive and efficient handling.
The aerodynamics of this new frame aren't just about pure speed: they also help conserve the rider's energy. According to Cervélo, the three watts saved compared to the previous version, especially when facing the wind, represent one less energy gel to consume on a long ride. This makes the 2026 Cervélo Aspero GRX RX820 marigold ready to take on demanding gravel races like the Unbound, while offering increased versatility thanks to its expanded mud clearance and numerous accessory mounting options.
THREADED BOTTOM BRACKET
Aspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket we pioneered on R5-CX. It’s a simple, rider-serviceable interface that allows us to deliver the benefits of BBRight in a more user-friendly form.
UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGER
We used SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) standard on the new Aspero. It’s ideal if you want to live your best ‘business in the front, party in the back’ life with one of SRAM’s Transmission drivetrains today, and ensures compatibility for future drivetrain developments.
INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Aspero shares the same bearing dimensions as R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia, which means you can use any combination of bearing caps and stems. Want a super-racy, fully-internal look? Grab the ST31 and HB13 from R5.
