Description
VOLANT E 5000 PT w/E MI 12 GW ski set
The VOLANT E 5000 PT w/E MI 12 GW ski set is a stainless-steel topped all mountain ski package that combines the distinctive Volant 5000 construction with the versatile Atomic MI 12 GW binding for confident performance across a wide range of piste conditions.
Who this ski set suits
This set targets advanced to expert skiers who value precise on-piste control, refined materials, and a distinctive look. It rewards a technically sound skier who likes both short and long turns and spends most of the day carving groomers while wanting enough stability to stay composed at higher speeds.
Character and construction
The Volant 5000 defines the character of this set: a stainless-steel top sheet with laser engraving that delivers both a standout aesthetic and a notably stable, balanced ride. Full Sidewall Sandwich construction drives power directly to the edges for accurate steering. Inside, a Power Woodcore made from ash and poplar adds strong longitudinal stability and effectively damps vibrations, so the ski feels calm and predictable even when you push it. Two steel layers further boost torsional stiffness and edge grip, giving you secure hold on hard snow and smooth power transmission throughout the turn.
Edge & geometry feel
An 87° side edge angle and 1.0° base edge angle give intuitive engagement, easy turn initiation, and strong grip when you tip the ski over. Active Camber (0/100/0) increases effective edge contact, enhancing stability and bite on icy slopes. A World Cup-level base finish reduces friction for a fast, slick glide, while the sidecut across lengths supports both quick, short-radius arcs and longer, sweeping turns.
If you want a distinctive, steel-clad all mountain piste ski set that combines style, edge hold, and composed speed, the VOLANT E 5000 PT w/E MI 12 GW delivers.
