The Apex is designed for riders with an aggressive riding style. It's for those who feel just as much at home in a criterium race as they do in the steep hills on their XC or trail bike. If you like an aggressive riding position, this saddle is for you! The use of ETPU + Gel padding means the Apex is ideal for long days in the saddle. The Apex has a short nose designed to keep the rider in the sweet spot and eliminates the need to change position on the saddle.

The wide and flat platform at the back of the saddle gives the rider the perfect seat for maximum stability while exerting great effort. The Apex is the evolution of the GP series. It takes the classic flat profile of the GP and introduces a gentle slope from back to front that puts the rider in power mode. It also uses a large cutout from back to front to allow the rider to get as aero as possible with full pelvic rotation without sacrificing comfort in the perineal area.

Smanie always wants to push the boundaries of what they can do to make their saddles more environmentally friendly. They start producing all their products from recycled materials. That includes the covers, foam, bases, rails and even the packaging.

The Apex features ETPU + Gel filling to provide the thinnest filling profile possible while still providing support for rides of more than 3 hours. This saddle features Smanie's latest and greatest vibration dampening technologies, including their proprietary nylon blend base that provides maximum flexibility while still providing support when the terrain gets rough. In addition to the vibration dampening technology in the base, the unique flex rail technology gives the rider the smoothest and vibration-free ride possible, while being lightweight.

(Smanie saddles sometimes have 2 of the same saddles, but these differ in weight and price, this is because they are different. The main difference between the two saddles is the use of the chromoly rail, which is much lighter than the steel rail, and also the padding material. The steel rail or sports saddles use PU foam and the chromoly rail saddles use EVA foam. EVA is much lighter than PU and offers more comfort during longer rides, because the foam can withstand extreme deformation after 3 hours, while PU much more begins to distort.)
