Extra padding for extra comfort, 18mm plush padding to be precise. The Smanie EX Series saddle has ample padding in the seat bone area and on the nose, to give you extra comfort in a medium position that most adventure riders use.
It is the core of Smanie to always push the boundaries of what they can do to make their saddles more environmentally friendly. They start producing all the products from recycled materials. That includes upholstery, foam, bases, rails and even the packaging.
The EX is a modern saddle for a modern riding style. Cycling takes people to the most breathtaking places on the planet and as these explorers brave the elements and nature, discomfort in the saddle isn't something they signed up for. The EX is 267mm long and 155mm wide - not too short and not too wide.

(Smanie saddles sometimes have 2 of the same saddles, but they differ in weight and price, this is because they are different. The main difference between the two saddles is the use of the chromoly rail, which is much lighter than the steel rail, and also the padding material. The steel rail or sports saddles use PU foam and the chromoly rail saddles use EVA foam. EVA is much lighter than PU and offers more comfort during longer rides, because the foam can withstand extreme deformation after 3 hours resistance, while PU then begins to deform much more.)
