The ATOMIC Hawx Kids 2 black/limestone/red alpine ski boots give young beginners a soft, confidence-friendly flex and simple two-buckle closure for making those first real turns on snow. Built specifically for junior skiers, these boots balance easy handling with enough stability to help build solid technique.
Construction and support
The Hawx Kids 2 uses Atomic’s Prolite construction with a lightweight shell and cuff reinforced only where strength is needed, so kids get a stable platform without excess weight. A Junior Performance Shell with added Power Chassis reinforcement between toe and heel improves torsional stability for better edge grip. Both shell and cuff use polypropylene (PP) to keep the boot lighter and make stepping in and out easier, while the low cuff height across all sizes matches shorter lower legs.
Fit and comfort
A 98 mm Junior Last takes growing feet into account, giving youngsters a snug but not restrictive fit. The Team Bronze liner offers an anatomic first feel to help kids stay comfortable through longer sessions. Fully heat-moldable construction allows a bootfitter to fine-tune the shape, and the Junior Tongue Profile helps the boot wrap securely over the instep. Polycarbonate buckles are easy for small hands to operate, and the included Size Adjuster can sit under the footbed to fine-tune the fit by a half size.
Ski stance and interface
A 15° forward lean and 4° ramp angle put kids in a natural, slightly athletic stance that supports learning proper technique. RTJ Junior Grip Pads follow the Alpine ISO 5355 junior norm, providing a secure interface with compatible junior bindings as well as grippy contact points for walking around the resort.
