The Burton [ak] Dispatcher 25L Backpack is a mid-size snowsports pack built to carry a full backcountry kit, extra layers, and food for day tours and summit missions. Its 25L volume, organized layout, and multiple access points keep gear close at hand on the skin track and the descent.
Capacity and specs
This backpack offers 25L of storage in a streamlined shape measuring 54 cm x 30 cm x 16 cm and weighing 1.18 kg. A dedicated snow tool compartment holds shovel, probe, and snow saw, while the main compartment handles spare layers, water, and essentials. Side compression straps help stabilize the load.
Materials and protection
The pack uses bluesign® approved 210D Nylon Cordura® ripstop with C0 DWR and PU coating, plus 500D Nylon Cordura® with C0 DWR and PU backing for added durability. A snow-repelling, compression-molded back panel with airflow zones reduces snow buildup and improves comfort in cold conditions. The interior lining is bluesign® approved 210D polyester ripstop with C0 DWR and PU backing.
Organization and access
Full back panel access and a side zipper let you reach the main compartment quickly. Inside, a hydration sleeve and an internal zippered mesh pocket with key clip keep smaller items sorted. Outside, you get a quick-access snow tool compartment, a fleece-lined goggle/accessory pocket, and ergonomic shoulder straps with a stretch accessory holder. The pack supports vertical board carry and A-frame splitboard carry, with stowable helmet sling for top or front helmet carry, plus stowable pole and ice axe loops.
Carry and on-snow features
An articulated ergonomic hip belt with pockets, adjustable sternum strap with built-in whistle, and ergonomic shoulder straps provide stable carry on the move. Snow-repelling back panel shaping helps you ride naturally, while glove-friendly zipper pullers and buckles make transitions easier in winter conditions.
