Cervelo R5 CX Red eTap AXS 2023

The 2023 Cervélo R5-CX Red eTap AXS five black is the result of meticulous work carried out in close collaboration with two iconic cyclocross figures: Marianne Vos and Wout van Aert. Together, they have more than a dozen world, European, and national titles. This model has been shaped according to their feedback, down to the smallest detail. It notably led Fem van Empel to the world championship title in 2023, proof of her dominance on the most demanding courses.

The R5-CX made a name for itself in the World Cup from the very beginning, with a notable victory at Waterloo won by Marianne Vos, before shining in subsequent rounds, notably in Iowa. Today, this bike is an undisputed benchmark on the European circuit with thirteen major victories, including national titles won in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Inspired by the renowned Cervélo R5, this cyclocross bike doesn't just follow a legacy: it breaks free from it. It takes the lessons learned from the 2007 R3 Cross, Cervélo's first cross bike, and pushes them even further. The frame benefits from redesigned geometry for riding on soft terrain, with T47-standard threaded BBRight chainstays for optimal stiffness and compatibility with internal and external bottom brackets.

Every component of the R5-CX is designed for the demands of cyclocross: the D-shaped seatpost, equipped with a double clamp, was specifically requested by Wout and Marianne to keep the saddle in line in the event of a fall. Full cable integration and exclusive compatibility with electronic drivetrains ensure maximum reliability in mud and extreme conditions. Available in sizes 51, 54, 56 and 58 cm, this model offers everything professional cyclists could dream of.
