The SALOMON Techamphibian 5 hiking shoes are designed for summer adventures and full-day hikes that move between water and trail. They combine quick-drying performance with confident grip on wet, slippery terrain.

Upper construction

The upper uses a mix of synthetic and textile materials with anti-debris mesh to let water in and out while blocking sand, grit, and small stones. Quick-drying, breathable fabrics help your feet dry faster after stream crossings or shoreline use. A reinforced toecap and fully stitched upper add protection against bumps and trail obstacles. The collapsible heel and adjustable heel strap let you switch between slide-on convenience and a more secure, closed-shoe feel.

Midsole & cushioning

The Techamphibian 5 uses an EnergyCell™ EVA midsole to absorb shocks and impacts over hard ground. A 9 mm drop supports a natural walking motion for all-day comfort on mixed terrain.

Outsole

The Water contaGRIP® rubber outsole is formulated for adhesion on wet or smooth surfaces. Flat, siped lugs help the sole bite into slick rock, docks, and muddy paths to provide reliable traction in and out of the water.

Fit & sizing

The shoe is built on a regular-width platform to suit most foot shapes. The Quicklace™ one-pull lacing system with lace pocket and adjustable heel strap allows fast on/off and easy fine-tuning of fit, while the S.Café® recycled sockliner cover helps manage moisture and odor inside the shoe.
